Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper intends to study the territory changes produced by the evolution in the use of the soil, the urban morphologic structure and the socio-economic aspects of the population in one of the settlements located on the margins of the stream El Gato. This study will be carried out through the use of teledetection, and statistics and survey analysis. The study of territory transformations will help us approach the dangers and exposition dimensions framed in the social theory of risks. It will also help determine developing flood risk areas in the project entitled "Flooding in the Province of Buenos Aires: natural factors and anthropies from the point of view of Risk Social Theory. Paraná and La Plata rivers: 1980-2000".
