National Educational Map. An experience in the Republic of Argentina
Main Article Content
Abstract
The National Educational Map Project is a GIS generated by the development and integration of 24 Provincial Educational Maps based on a general conceptual model, with a dynamic view of 49000 educational institutions, and their territorial context. The goals of the present work are: a) to systematize the information from the cartographic theory identifying map origins, constructions and communications as well as the relationship among territory, space and the new spaces emerging from task fulfillment, and b) to identify to what extent the Project completion in Argentina helps to enhance a dialectic approach -knowledge/ reality- of the territory and its management, and how it intervenes in the institutional development, promoting a virtuous transformation circle between individuals and agents of development.
